lyrics

Wanderlust

You could travel far from this place – if you want to
Paradise ain’t what it seems
Fascinated – reading books and writing poetry
A secret world no one has seen

So set a course for destinations far away now
And though the smoke and clouds you’ll fly
Out on your own be never lonely in the city
And let your dreams flower and rise
Vanquish your deepest fears inside

Oh there’s a feeling – wanderlust
And it’s a notion you can trust
For there’s a larger world outside
And now you’re going on a ride

And so the day comes Monday morning when you wake up
Your suitcase packed your ticket bought
You taste the fear but you repress it – won’t turn back now
Great to be free in ‘73
An open door to ‘74
